Students spent three weeks investigating microorganisms. Gathering evidence from experiments, research from books and the Internet and completing simulations provided students with a wealth of evidence to sort through. In pairs students were asked to compile all the evidence gathered to answer the Big Problem, “What does the public need to know about infectious disease?”
