Fighting infectious diseases is a global problem. The public should know about infectious diseases, how they're spread, and what they can do about it. By accomplishing this, the public can protect themselves more from any outbreaks, or just day-to-day activities.
 
 Eukaryotic cells are higher human and plant cells. Eukaryotic cells have nucleuses and have many organelles. In activity 4. We learned how the Eukaryotic cell membrane worked. Eukaryotic cells have developed special ways to transport themselves. Eukaryotic cells tend to be larger than bacteria cells.
 
Infectious diseases can spread through a community through person-to-person contact. Over time, the population's infected will increase. Slowly though, the number of infected will decline from treatment and death. In Activity 30,  we simulated 4 days in a community. At the end of the 4 days 13 people were infected out of 35. Over the days, infected people transfered the disease to others. This shows that diseases can spread quickly. In Activity 31 we learned how a virus infects your body. This is how Infectious Diseases are transmitted.
 
Prokaryotic cells are viruses and bacteria. Prokaryotic cells have no nucleus. Prokaryotic cells have no visible organelles. They have a more simple structure than Eukaryotic cells. It has no cell membrane bound organelles.
 
Infectious diseases can also spread through vectors. A vector is an organism other than humans that spreads an infectious disease without receiving the symptoms. A carrier is a human that has an infectious disease but doesn't receive the symptoms. An Epidemiologist tracks the spread of an infectious disease. In Activity 32, "Whom Infected Whom?", we tracked the spread of a disease through a school and found a carrier of the disease. In Activity 33, "From One to Another", we learned how earlier people dealt with infectious diseases, and how vectors spread an infectious disease.
 
E.coli was found in the human colon in 1885. E.coli can be cured by antibiotics which are prescribed by doctors. E.coli is caused by bacteria (E.coli). E.coli can be prevented by cooking all ground beef thoroughly, wash fruits and vegetables really good.
 
    In the past, people reacted to infectious diseases differently than they do today. They quarantined infected people and let them die. In Activity 34, we learned all about Leprosy, an infectious disease that caused problems in the past. We learned all about how people reacted to it, they reacted with fear, and quarantined the people infected and left them to succumb to the disease and their wounds. Quarantine is a harsh way of treating an infectious disease. In Activity 37, "Germ Theory", we read about the Germ Theory of disease, how it got started, and the many people that contributed to the development of it.
 
    The public needs to know what they can do to prevent infectious disease. First off they need to keep clean. Another thing is that they need to properly clean their food, if it's meat or vegetables or fruit. If anyone is sick then you must stay away from them, so that way they don't get sick as well. Many infectious diseases are usually curable. Just keep and stay away from sick people and be clean should keep the public safe.
